Scammers Target Co-op Customers

OCEC has received notification that scammers are calling some of our customers demanding payments or their electric service will be disconnected. Making a payment to these scammers is not advised and could give them access to your financial information. OCEC does make phone calls to customers with past due accounts giving a final date for payment before disconnection, but will never demand immediate payment or ask you to wire money.
